Strong Attraction of Online Forex Trading
The widespread use of broadband Internet services, has transformed from a Forex Trading activity is restricted for banks, hedge funds and investors with deep pockets and good banking relationships, in an activity that almost anyone can make from their home or office computer.
Online Forex deal now offers the small retailers free access to trading platforms and live data feeds that only a few years ago would have cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars a month in fees. This and the prospect of making large returns on investments have led to an explosion of online forex trading activity. Forex trading accounts can be opened for as little as $ 250 and free demo accounts are readily available.
Unfortunately, just because it is now easy to participate in Forex Trading does not mean that small investors should try to trade Forex. Starts out with a small amount almost guarantee that the trader will end up losing the money. A more realistic amount to start trading with, is $ 5,000, not $ 250. Even when traders start out with more money have to be careful not to exploit their positions.
Forex trading is a very professional company. To win, you know what you are doing and / or be very lucky. The small traders who start trading with limited knowledge is a huge disadvantage as Forex Trading is a zero sum game, and competition is fierce. After all forex is the largest financial trade media in the world with trillions of dollars Forex change hands daily. With so much money at stake is not surprising that competition is so strong. Successful traders, people like Jim Rogers and George Soros, become very wealthy.
One of the major attractions in Forex trading is that large amounts of currencies can be controlled with small amounts. Leverage of 100 to 1 is easily accessible. A professional trader would never spend that amount of leverage. When you trade Forex at 100 to 1 leverage means that you would double your margin money with only a 1% step in your favor, but unfortunately you would lose 100% of your money with a 1% move against your position.
When you shop at very high leverage, you reduce the corporate forex trading to gambling. You might still give it a try using the high leverage that is available, but at least be aware that you are playing at using the Forex markets to do so. It is better to learn what you do and go for the long haul. None or few companies anywhere offer the kind of return available for talented forex traders.
